SINO-CEE Fund signed a deal in December 2019 to acquire a 51.5MWp PV portfolio in Poland. The projects are to be constructed over the next 12 months. The combined output of the PV plants is estimated at around 50 GWh per year, which is enough to meet the demand of over 9,000 homes and save nearly 50,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually. Mr Aiping Chen, CEO of SINO-CEEF, commented: “With this investment, SINO-CEE Fund is keen to support Poland in its efforts to develop renewable energy, and the EU to fulfill its renewable energy consumption target of ‘20% in 2020, and 35% in 2030’. The investment is also expected to provide impetus to strengthening of the local economy and employment.”
