SINO-CEE Fund II is established

SINO-CEEF Capital Management Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as SINO-CEEF), launched by ICBC, announces that its second fund, SINO-CEE Fund II, is established in Luxembourg on 10 November 2022, and will steadily carry out investment activities in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.

SINO-CEEF is a market-oriented private equity investment company registered in Hong Kong, and SINO-CEE Fund (hereinafter referred to as “SINO-CEE Fund I”), under its management, is China’s first non-sovereign regional cooperation fund. Since its founding in Luxembourg on 26 November 2016, the Fund has made cumulative investments worth of 533 million euros in Europe.

Based on the successful experience from SINO-CEE Fund I and under consideration of the latest global trends and market developments, the company has now rolled out its Fund II. SINO-CEE Fund II will focus on investments in the CEE region and embark on an investment strategy with a strong commitment to environmental and social sustainability.

SINO-CEEF is convinced that joint global efforts between China, Europe and other countries will be indispensable to tackle common challenges such as climate change and to achieve sustainable future. The sustained economic growth in the CEE region and the urgent need for renewable energy transformation is creating a vast investment opportunity, which requires global capital that shares the vision of a more sustainable world. Therefore, SINO-CEE Fund II will have a particular focus on renewable energy related sectors as one of its major investment areas, next to other sustainability-driven investment opportunities.
