The 2025 China-Europe Business Forum, hosted by China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU), was successfully held on 27th June 2025 in Brussels of Belgium to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union. Themed "Europe-China Markets: Thriving Together, Shaping a Brighter World", the Forum brought together representatives from over 100 enterprises and institutions from both China and Europe. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as the current status of China-Europe economic and trade relations, emerging challenges, and pathways for future cooperation. The forum was aimed to inject new momentum into bilateral relations and offer insights and opportunities for collaboration in crucial areas including trade, technology, and green transformation. The forum was moderated by Mr. Fang Dongkui, Secretary General of CCCEU. Special remarks were delivered by Mr. Fei Shengchao, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium. Welcome remarks were given by Mr. Liu Jiandong, President of CCCEU and Chairman of Bank of China (Europe). Keynote speeches were delivered by Ms. Maria João Rodrigues, former Portuguese Minister of Labour, and Mr. Liu Yu, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Mission to the EU.
Mr. Chen Fei, Vice Chairman and CEO of SINO-CEEF, was invited as a distinguished guest to chair the thematic sub-forum "50 Years of China-EU Relations: Shared Prosperity to Light Up the World." During the sub-forum, representatives shared their practical experiences in international cooperation, particularly in the fields of renewable energy and green economy. Entrepreneurs and scholars from both China and Europe exchanged views on how to enhance bilateral opportunities for economic development, and discussed strategies to support both local and global business growth. Mr. Chen delivered a keynote presentation on SINO-CEEF's investment strategies and the emerging trends in renewable energy sector in Central and Eastern Europe. He highlighted the immense opportunities and potential challenges within the European renewable energy market. Drawing from a professional perspective in private equity fund management, Mr. Chen shared insights into the practices and investment philosophy of the SINO-CEEF in CEE markets. His remarks focused on practical experiences and strategic reflections on achieving shared prosperity, contributing to the deepening and solidification of China-Europe cooperation.
